THE WORKSHOPS

Intergenerational workshops

Using participatory puppetry workshops to engage with different generations of people to promote wellbeing, communication and facilitate collaboration between them. Through playing and making puppets we aim to improve perception, comprehension, coordination and interaction for the individuals. We will be using folk/fairy tale stories, we will be making puppets, exploring dramatic conflicts and staging scenes inspired in the Japanese style: performance – music – storytelling. The research and development of the workshops has been supported by L'nstitute de la marionette.

Workshops for carers

We invite carers of people with dementia to participate in puppetry and dramatherapy workshops to explore stories, feelings, engage with their imagination and create a container for their experience of caring for someone who is suffering from dementia. Through these workshops participants will be given the time and space to create their own idea of caring for own self and to find ways to release stress from every day life responsibilities. Might also explore different ways of engaging with people with dementia through puppetry and theatre in a safe and playful environment.
